I am a scholar of automation and labor markets, currently Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My general research agenda is to understand how automation changes the way work is organized, priced, and rewarded.
My current project looks at how AI is affecting the cybersecurity industry. I focus on vulnerability disclosure in the age of AI and what it means for the bug bounty business model. As AI speeds up vulnerability discovery and increases the volume of reports, I examine how this changes incentives, triage, pricing, and trust among platforms, security teams, and independent researchers.
This builds on earlier work on digital platforms. In 2022, I defended my doctoral thesis on algorithmic management in the food-delivery industry.
Trained in both economics and sociology, I am equally at home with quantitative and qualitative methods. I also work with large text datasets and digital methods.
